1. The total number of patients treated at the Battalion Aid Station during the month of October 1966 was 552.

9. During the month of October 1966, members of the 1^st Battalion 4^th Marine Regiment Medical Department continued to help man and operate ‘E’ Medical Company, a Collecting and Clearing Company located in Dong Ha.  Working under the direction of the 4^th Marines Regimental Surgeon and in conjunction with the Battalion Surgeons and Hospital Corpsmen of 3/4, 2/5, 3/7 and 2/9, the personnel of the 1^st Battalion 4^th Marines Medical Department set up an effective triage center for the treatment and evacuation of all wounded in the Dong Ha TAOR.  This Battalion also had the responsibility of resupplying and providing administrative support for E Medical Company.
10. There have been 545 laboratory examinations performed during the month of October.  These included all laboratory procedures, and of these 102 proved positive for malaria. There were 35 positive cases of Gonorrhea in the Dong Ha area, none of which came from 1^st Battalion 4^th Marines.
11. There were 25 dental consultations referred to the Dong Ha Dental Clinic.
