Logistics
- Logistical Situation
- On 1 October the Battalion returned from the ‘Rock Pile” (Thon Son Lam Area) in connection with Operation Prairie and assumed defense duties at Dong Ha Combat Base. This included providing one company at the Cua Viet River, (Beach area), and one reinforced platoon at the Cam Lo Bridge for security purposes.
- Resupply was accomplished by LCU to the ‘Beach area’ and by vehicle to the bridge area. The method of using an LCU is considered adequate, but water shortages caused minor difficulties due to its nonavailability at Cua Viet.
