  1. Situation.
  2. Enemy forces.  See Current Intsums.
  3. Friendly forces.

(1)               3rd Mar Div continues operations against VC/NVA forces in assigned area.

(2)               1st MAW provides fixed wing and helo support.

(3)               3rd Bn 12th Mar provides artillery support as required.

  1. Attachments and Detachments.  See Task Organization.
  2. Mission.  Company C conducts a search and destroy operation in assigned TAOR interdict enemy lines of communications by destroying NVA/VC forces and preventing their movement to the lowlands and populated areas.
  3. Execution.
  4. Concept of Operations. Company C will conduct aggressive small unit activities throughout the assigned TAOR.  Direct support artillery will be located at Camp Evans.
  5. 3rd Bn 12th Marines.  Provide artillery support from Camp Evans area for Company C as required.
  6. Battalion Reserve.  Plt, Company D in 30-minute alert.
  7. Coordinating Instructions.

(1)               Adhere strictly to the rules of engagement.

(2)               Report by fastest means available indications of Enemy activities.

(3)               Submit day and night activities to Bn CP MLT 1400H the day prior.

(4)               Do not destroy captured food, supplies or medicine.  Report their location and await instructions.

(5)               Operations outside your TAOR conducted only on the approval of Bn CP.

(6)               POW’s and detainees will be evacuated to Bn CP.

(7)               Caution friendly forces on enemy mines and booby traps.

(8)               Cross LD at 160730H September 67.

  1. Admin and Logistics.
  2. Prescribed Load.  As prescribed by Company Commander, Company C.
  3. Resupply.  Request resupply by 1200 on the day before resupply required.
  4. Uniform and Equipment.  As prescribed by the Company Commander, Company C.
  5. Med Evac.  Helo evacuation in accordance with standard procedures.
  6. Drinking water.  Water is available throughout the TAOR, troops will be instructed on the proper use of halazone tablets and unit commanders will ensure their utilization.
  7. Command and Communication/Electronics.
  8. Command Posts.

(1)               Report CP locations when established.

  1. Visual.  Carry air panels and colored smoke.
  2. Communications/Electronics.

(1)               Guard Bn TAC Net as soon as you leave Camp Evans.

(2)               Med Evac frequency 45.7.
