Operation Order 13-67

  2.          Enemy Forces.  Current Intsums
  3.          Friendly Forces.

(1)               4th Marines continues present operations in conjunction with Operations Fremont and Liberty II.

(2)               1st MAW provides fixed wing and helicopter support.

(3)               3rd Bn 12th Marines provides artillery support as required.

(4)               3rd Bn 26th Marines provides security for Camp Evans and conducts aggressive small unit activities in assigned OA.

(5)               Companies C and D provide security for bridges and culverts along assigned portions of National Route One.

  1. Mission.  Conduct aggressive small unit activities and search and destroy operations in assigned OA to interdict enemy LOC’s and to locate and destroy enemy forces, logistic caches and installations.

(1)               Adhere strictly to rules of engagement.

(2)               Report by fastest means available all enemy contacts.

(3)               Caution friendly forces on mines and booby traps.

(4)               Submit day and night activities to Bn CP NLT 1200H the day prior.

(5)               Do not destroy captured food or medicine.  Report their location and await instructions.

(6)               Report POW’s and detainees to Bn CP and await instructions.

(7)               Operations outside OA conducted only on approval this HQ.

(8)               Election Day – 22 October 1967.

(9)               Cross LOD 210500H.

(10)          Scheduled termination of operation 221630H.

  1. Admin and Logistics.
  2. Prescribed Load.  As prescribed by the Company Commander.
  3. Resupply.  Emergency resupply requests to be submitted as soon as possible.
  4. Uniform and Equipment.  As prescribed by the Company Commander.
  5. Med Evac.  Helo evacuation in accordance with standard procedure.
  6. Drinking Water.  Streams available in OA.  Ensure troops utilize halazone tablets.
  7. Command and Communication/Electronics
  8. Command Posts.  Report all CP locations when established.
  9. Visual.  All platoons carry air panels and colored smoke.
  10. Communications/Electronics
