Narrative Summary

During the reporting period, the entire battalion was engaged in Operation Kentucky.  From 1 December to 27 December the battalion set up defensive perimeters north of the TRACE and conducted company size combat patrols and other screening and security activities.

On 24 December, the Battalion conducted a relief in place with 2/9 and assumed responsibility for the additional AO.  The Battalion’s mission of screening remained the same.

On 26 December, two companies and a Bravo Command Group moved south to the C-2 positions.  On 27 December the remainder of the battalion moved to the C-2 position and assumed the responsibility for the defense of the C-2 Bridge sites.
