Fire Support

1. Throughout the month, the Battalion’s FO teams continued to man the observation towers at C-2 and C-2 Bridge.  They were assisted by troops from the rifle companies in standing the ‘tower watches’.
2. The Defensive Fire Support Plan was updated to meet the changing tactical situation.  This included the addition of another sector of fire to the Counter Rocket Fire Support Plan, the development of an Anti-Mechanized Fire Support Plan and the firing in of final protective fires at C-2 Bridge and at C-2.
3. A number of fires were brought to bear on Counter Battery/Counter Mortar targets, intelligence targets and observed enemy positions.  The following missions were fired in support of the Battalion during the reporting period.
