  27. Summary.  Under the existing conditions, the service the Battalion received in support of operations was adequate, with the aerial observers doing an excellent job.
  28. 28 May – 31 May at Camp Carroll
  29. Fixed Wing Support.  Due to the relatively stationary position and the short period of time that the Battalion has been at Camp Carroll there has been no fixed wing run.
  30. Air Observers.  Aerial observers were utilized whenever the need arose, and their services were quite satisfactory.
  31. Med-evacs.
  32. 1 emergency – 30 minutes average
  33. 4 priority – 13.6 minutes average
  34. Troop Lift.   No troop lifts have been run at Camp Carroll during the period of time covered by this report.
  35. Resupply.  Helicopters were utilized daily to resupply personnel on top of the Rockpile.
  36. TPQ’s.  No TPQ’s have been submitted in the period of time covered by this report.
  37. C&C Flights.  On two occasions we have requested flights and received them ASAP.  One was a case of emergency leave resulting in a flight from Camp Carroll to Dong Ha, and the other was to take two people to the Rockpile.
  38. Summary.  A marked improvement is evident in helicopter service, although part of this is due to the location of the base and the already large demand on the helicopters making them available at just about any time.  Insufficient time has limited the scope of this report and next months report should give a fuller more accurate picture of the Battalion’s air situation here at Camp Carroll.
