Air Support

  1. 1 June – 30 June at Camp Carroll, LZ Robin, LZ Loon, LZ Torch and LZ Mike.
  2. Fixed Wing Support.
  3. AO’s controlled an estimated 120 fixed wing strikes.  No fixed wing strikes were controlled by 1/4 during the reporting period.  No confirm BDA available.
  4. Helicopter Close Air Support.  Ten flights of Huey gunships were controlled by 1/4 during the reporting period.  No confirmed BDA available.
  5. Med-evacs.  291 casualties med-evaced during the reporting period, utilizing 35 helicopter sorties.
  6. Aerial Observers.  AO’s were obtained whenever necessary.
  7. Troop Lifts.  Six Battalion size troop lifts and four Company size troop lifts were conducted.
  8. TPQ’s.  25 TPQ’s were requested.
  9. Resupply.  An estimated 300,000 pounds of resupply material was lift during the month of June.
