Training

  1. General Military subjects and MCS training for the month of April for Squad, Platoon and Company size units was limited because the Battalion was deployed in the field conducting operations throughout the Northwestern I Corps area.
  2. All replacements received comprehensive indoctrination briefings in accordance with the Battalion SOP for Replacement Training.  Each replacement fired his T/O weapon for familiarization.
  3. Unit Training
  4. FAM firing of organic weapons – 18 hours
  5. Radio AN/PRC-25 and Communications procedure – 9 hours
  6. Preventive maintenance, communications equipment – 3 hours
  7. 81mm mortar gun drill – 35 hours
  8. Night firing 81mm mortar –15 hours
  9. Officer and Staff Non commissioned Officers Training was not conducted during the month of April, due to the tactical situation.
  10. Nuclear, Biological and chemical warfare training was not conducted during the month of April due to the tactical situation.
