- The total number of visits to the Battalion Aid Station (BAS) during the month of July was 855.

- All suspected cases of Venereal Disease were given as STS in accordance with NAVMED 22-18 and the results entered in the individual’s health record.
- A total of 64 patients were referred to 3rd Medical Battalion as indicated.

- Total patients referred to Dental for treatment: 108
- Weekly malaria prophylaxis was continued with the use of Chloroquine-Primaquine tablets. In conjunction with the weekly malaria prophylaxis, daily malaria prophylaxis was also administered.
- Sanitation Inspections of the Battalion’s areas were held daily and weekly in accordance with DivO P6000.4_.
- Two Battalion Aid Stations were operated during the month of July. A Forward BAS consisting of a Battalion Surgeon and twelve Hospital Corpsmen located at VCB and a secondary BAS at QTCB staffed with eight Hospital Corpsmen. Incoming Hospital Corpsmen were processed at the rear BAS and outfitted with minimum equipment for the transit to VCB. All injuries and malaria encounters were treated by Line Company Corpsmen and, when required, casualties were promptly transferred for further treatment. No serious delays were experienced in resupply or evacuation during this period.
- Lectures were given regularly at both Battalion Aid Stations.
- With cooperation of Battalion Rear Dental Units and Headquarters Battalion Dental Unit, a total of 108 patients were treated. All arrivals into the Battalion were screened and those presenting a Class III or IV dental profile were referred to one of these units prior to reporting to forward areas.
