1. Summary of Enemy Situation.

(a)              Enemy is believed to be of local force VC caliber, operating in small units of 10-15VC.

(b)              A detailed brief will be given to all units prior to the operation.

2. Essential Elements of Information.

(a)       Determines the composition, strength, and deposition of enemy forces, which will oppose USMC forces.

(b)       Determine what type of booby traps and mines are being employed.

(c)               Determine the ford ability of all streams in the operating area.

(d)              Determine whether the bridge at YD 604266 can be crossed by troops on foot or by vehicle.

(e)              Determine what infiltration routes are being used in the area.

(f)                Determine the feasibility of utilizing land shark teams in the Song Bo River for future operational employment.

3. Measures of Handling Personnel, Documents and Material.

(a)              All POW’s, Documents and materials will be picked up by this headquarters as soon as possible.

(b)              On the spot questioning by the interpreter will be made to determine if the person is a VC or VCS.

4. Documents and/or Equipment Required.

(a)              Maps.  May be picked up at the S-2 Shop

(b)              SIDS are available for use.
