Fire Support

  1. The Battalion’s FO teams continued manning the one observation post at C-2 Bridge and the three observation posts at A-4.  Troops from the rifle companies again assisted in standing OP watch.
  2. The same Defensive Fire Support Plan continued in effect with only minor changes to target concentrations.
  3. A number of fires were brought to bear on Counter-Battery/Mortar, intelligence targets, observed enemy movements and suspected enemy positions.  The following missions were fired in support of the Battalion during the reporting period.
  4. H&I’s – 1895
  5. Observed Fires – 306
  6. Unobserved – 0
  7. Counter Btry/Mortar – 17
  8. Illumination – 5
  9. The FO teams had 4 secondary explosions on missions fired during the reporting period.
