1. General.  (Period covered: 27 January 1967 to 31 January 1967) The battalion was embarked aboard the USS Iwo Jima as the Landing Force element of the Special Landing Force during the reporting period.

The S-2 Section was engaged in writing Annex B (Intelligence) to Operation Order 1-67, MUD PUPPY III during the reporting period.
