  1. Significant Events
  2. During the reporting period the Battalion (-) moved from the Phu Bai Area to Dong Ha, to participate in Operation Prairie.  The move by convoy, took place on 16 August 1966.
  3. Between 16 and 24 August, two LCU’s were provided for the support of the remaining organic vehicles to the Dong Ha Area.
  4. Clothing, in quantities sufficient to provide a minimum level of acceptance for field operation was provided by FLSU.
  5. Resupply to Cam Lo (Company A) carried out by truck and consisted of A rations, ammunition and clothing.
  6. Supply
  7. Class I – Since movement to the Dong Ha – Cam Lo Area, all personnel were provided ‘A’ rations.
  8. Class II – A – Availability of spare parts and maintenance at third echelon have improved the combat posture of the Battalion by lowering deadline time.
  9. Class III – POL conjunction consisted of 55 gallons DIESEL per day; 60 gallons MOGAS per day and lubes and greases sufficient for operation of organic vehicles and power sources.
  10. Class IV – Approximately 5,000 sandbags and 73 rolls of concertina were issued for improvement of positions at Dong Ha – Cam Lo.
  11. Class V – Basic Allowance and D/A’s (day of ammunition) maintained as requested.
  12. Transportation. Satisfactory truck, air and sea transport (LCU’s) provided for all logistical requirements.
  13. Sanitation. No sanitation problems encountered.
  14. Reports Required.

  16. Ammunition expenditure report.
  17. Yankee/Zulu report.
