- Supply
- Class I. All Class I was drawn at Vandegrift Combat Base in support of operations. The Battalion Mess Hall served ‘A’ rations two times daily at Vandegrift. While at FSB Cates and Shepherd from 1-11 November, Battalion field messes served at least one hot meal a day. Following the movement to FSB Argonne and Alpine, ‘C’ rations were provided as required.
- Class II. FLSG/B was the source for Battalion Supply for Class II items. Class II supply tents remain at Vandegrift to cut time lost in transfer of cargo from Quang Tri to Vandegrift. Shortages in the following items were experienced during this period.
- socks (small and regular)
- boots, jungle (medium sizes)
- BA-386 batteries
- Nozzles and covers (water trailer)
- Class III. Adequate at Vandegrift.
- Class IV. Adequate at Vandegrift.
- Class V. Adequate at Vandegrift.
- Transportation
- Organic. During the month of November, the M151A1, M274A2 and the M37B1 were used for resupply and administrative runs between Vandegrift and Quang Tri.
- Support. Division Motor Transport arranged transportation of Class II supplies and personnel from Quang Tri to Vandegrift. 3rd and 9th Motor Transport Battalions supported the Battalion on a daily basis.
- Engineer Support. Engineer Support Teams provided the Battalion with demolition capabilities.
