Medical/Dental Affairs

  1. The total number of patients treated at the Battalion Aid station (rear) during the month of August 1966 was 106.  Of these 34 were referred to Company A, 3rd Medical Battalion, 3rd Marine Division for further treatment, and 10 were admitted there for further treatment.  There were 22 admissions to the Battalion Aid Station (rear) during the month.  This included the number of patients sent to A-Med from Dong HA.  They were released to BAS 1-4.  Dental referrals numbered 22.

  9. No important emergencies were encountered at BAS 1-4 (rear).
  10. An estimated 27 inoculations were given for the month counting personnel going on R&R.
  11. A-Med now handles Med-Cap in CAC Villages.
  12. Total number of VC treated is 1.
