- The total number of patients treated at the Battalion Aid Station during the month of September 1966 was 525.
- Prevalent and significant diseases encountered during the month were:
- Bronchitis 1
- Gastroenteritis 30
- Gonorrhea 2*
- Malaria 41
- Emergency situations encountered this month were 75 WIA’s and 24 KIA’s.

- There was a total of 341 other patients seen and treated for the month of September 1966
- The following is a breakdown of total patients seen and treated on Operation Prairie:

- There has been a total of 719 other patients seen and treated since the start of Operation Prairie.
- During the month of September 1966, 1/4, 2/4, and 3/4 have manned and operated E Med, a temporary collecting and clearing company at Dong Ha. They operated with the Regimental Surgeon treating and evacuating all the wounded men and KIA’s on Operation Prairie. 1st Battalion has the responsibility of coordinating with FLSU to resupply units in the field and the C&C Company. They also have given direct administrative support to Regimental Headquarters.
- There has been a total number of 308 laboratory examinations performed. 100 tests were done for malaria in which 70 were positive for malaria. One positive O&P for protozoa and one positive test for hook worms. There was a total number of 15 tests for O&P. There was no positive Gonorrhea and there was 2 positives Nonspecific Urethritis.
- There was total number of 280 dental examinations this month.
* Indicated two old cases of Gonorrhea that were still under treatment.
