Company A chopped OPCON to the 9th Marines on 10 January to conduct small unit operations in the vicinity of Cam Lo and along Route #9.  Upon Company A’s return to C-2 on 22 January, Company D chopped to 9th Marines and assumed Company A’s mission.  Company D remained OPCON to 9th Marines through the end of the month.

On 10 January, C-2 was inspected by the Dyemarker Quality Control Inspection Team.  It was determined that none of the bunkers could be considered complete.  Maximum effort was directed at bunker completion in keeping with the tactical situation.  At the end of the reporting period the Battalion had completed 47 of the 81 bunkers.
