- (4) Task Force X-Ray conducts a separate combined multi Bn search and destroy operation northwest (Quang Ngai) of the AOA on 15 Feb 1967 and during Deck House VI.

- Mission.
- Commencing at L-hour on D-day land by heliborne assault into designated LZ’s, seize LF objectives 1 and 3 establish blocking positions on routes of egress from Sa Huynh area, conduct search and destroy operations in the vicinity of LF objectives 1 and 3.
- Commencing at H-hour on D-day land by waterborne assault over Blue Beach and seize LF objective 2.
- On order, continue search and destroy operations and seize LF objectives 4 and 5.
- Establish reserve rifle Co. aboard LPD prepared to land by helicopter or surface craft.
- By D plus one provide platoon size Sparrow Hawk force aboard LPH-2.

- Company A (rein)
- (1) Commencing on L-hour, D-day land by helicopter in Landing Zone Robin. Seize objective 1.
- (2) On order establish platoon-blocking positions on route QL-1 from coordinates BS 908267 to BS 918251 to prevent exfiltration of objective 4.
- (3) Be prepared to continue search and destroy operations and seize objective 4 on order.
- Company B (rein)
(1) When ordered on D-day land by helicopter in Landing Zone Parrot. Seize objective 3.
(2) Conduce search and destroy operations in vicinity of objective 3.
(3) Establish company size combat outpost and conduct extensive daytime patrolling and night ambushes in assigned area of operations.
- Company C (rein)
(1) Commencing at H-hour on D-day land by waterborne assault over Beach Blue. Seize Landing Force objective 2.
- (2) Prevent exfiltration of landing force objective 5.
- (3) Coordinate defense of beach support area and adjacent artillery positions. Provide one platoon initially as security for landing beach.
- (4) Be prepared to continue search and destroy operations on order.
- Battery G 3/12.
(1) On order on D-day land in landing craft over Beach Blue.
- (2) On completion of assault landing on order revert to tactical control of provisional artillery group.
- Mortar Batter 3/12.
(1) On D-day on order land by helicopter in designated Landing Zone.

- (3) Be prepared to revert to General Support of landing forces on order.
