Training
- In November, no training was held at Battalion level while little training was held at the Company level because of tactical commitments. All company level training was devoted to general military subjects.
- All replacement personnel received an indoctrination briefing in accordance with the Battalion SOP for replacement training. Each replacement also FAM fired his T/O weapon.
Civil Affairs
On successive Wednesdays of November Medical Cap (MedCap) groups consisting of the Battalion Surgeon and a Corpsman were sent into the Montaguard village southeast of Ca Lu. This was part of the Fourth Regimental Med Cap program which treated approximately 100 adults and 250 children during the month.
Bags of rice were distributed to the families of the sick children. In addition, soap, vitamin tablets and milk were dispensed to all children 3 times per week.
