Looking for any enlisted or officers from D 1/4 who where at Argonne March of 1969 who would like to tell their story for a book I am writing. I have a mix of H/S, Delta officers and enlisted but wanted to reach out to any others who would like to participate
I give each individual a dedicated chapter. Timeline is from time you where told going to Argonne to the time you left.
Also would like to know if anyone has Jimmy D Cluck’s contact info or knows him. A few guys would sure like to talk to him.
CPL Rick Everington: 1st PLT “Guns” Delta 1/4 1968-9. I added a few pages to LZ Sitting Duck – The Battle for Fire Base Argonne to honor and remember some of the marines that died on the hill.
Thomas Gourneau a Coast Guard CH46 Crew Chief is putting together a book about a hill fight that is little known.
His relative died on Argonne, LCPL David Emanuel Ovist
G Battery, 3rd Battalion, 12th Marines 3rd Marine Division. https://www.honorstates.org/index.php?id=291179

To LZ LOON Marines; we’re collecting LZ LOON stories for a new book. Titled: HELL 673 – The Stories of LZ LOON.
The purpose is to remember and put down in print the names and actions of valor of our KIAs on Hill 672 later known as the Battle of LZ LOON. We are looking for first hand stories but also stories that pertain to the marines of that battle. Please contact Rick at richardeverington@gmail.com.
